Re. Alaska Robotics Mini-Con and Comics Camp:

So I applied to go on a whim two years ago. I knew I wouldn't make it in; I had zero published comics to my name, had never exhibited at a con before, I had just finished school and was bumming around trying to figure out where I was going with little direction and zero internet fame. All I knew was that I loved comics and really admired the people involved with .

And guess what. I was accepted. I got to go.

Cue brain explosion. 🤯

If you look at the Guest List and become intimidated and think "Oh, I'm not in the same league as them, I shouldn't bother"— think of me. I was (and am!) a nobody, and I was lucky enough to be given a chance to go. It could happen for you, too.

Financial aid is available! If this sounds like something you'd love to do, why not give it a shot? What do you have to lose?
