I didn't knit this gorgeous poncho, I bought it (at a music festival booth), but it's one of my favourite knitted things I own. It's 70% alpaca and 30% acrylic, made in Peru. (No idea if it's hand or machine made, I bet the latter.)
The only problem is the reverse side is snag city! I have to be very careful whenever I wear it.
Still a beautiful piece of work, though!

If I were handy I might think about attaching some kind of lining to it to protect the reverse side, but I have no idea how to go about that, and the stretchiness of the yarn makes it super tricky without also knitting an entire inside liner.
