The Faroe Islands caught me right the moment I sat foot on the archipelago. Waves smashing against the rough cliffs, lakes that seems to float above the sea, waterfalls that fall right into the Atlantic. If you have somehow a spleen for nordic landscapes, the Faroe Islands will make your heart jump.

Durch den unberührten Schnee stapften wir zu diesem fantastischen Ausblick über den Fjord und genossen den Ausblick und das Fotografieren während uns der eiskalte Wind um die Ohren pfiff. Definitiv einer meiner Lieblingsmomente auf den Färöern.

We trudged through the untouched snow to this fantastic view over the fjord and enjoyed the view and taking photos while the freezing wind whistled around our ears. Definitely one of my favourite moments in the Faroe Islands.

On some days, the north showed its wild side. It rained properly, so that it cost a little overcoming to go out. But when we saw the wild waves and the full waterfall, the photographer's heart beat faster.
I rarely include people in my nature photos, but here I find it helps tremendously to appreciate the scale.
