neocolapsarI started building a website for my sister just to know how WordPress.com works. And surprisingly I'm having a lot of fun. It's a basic website for now as she can't afford a premium plan for premium features, but it's coming out good.I never used WordPress before. It's working for me because my html and css knowledge is limited and most theme layouts are just fine. No need to reinvent the wheel writing a layout from scratch. I just edit blocks as needed.Well, let's see if I can do more projects in the future. People who exist in in-between places like me feel a bit frustrated that the tools used - the static site generators - are so unfriendly to non-developer minds. So, I'm glad that there are some folks who are building digital gardens on <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/wordpress" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#wordpress</a>. I have plans to use <a href="https://hachyderm.io/tags/Obsidian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#Obsidian</a> and a plugin - probably either Quartz, Eveloppe or digital garden - to generate my static site one day, but this is a good workaround while I plan the possibly very complicated transition.
